A searchable archive of this list has been requested a number of times
over the years.  One problem with Mailman is the archives it keeps are
not easily searchable.

I currently have 1923 root messages going back to 6/20/2006.  (A root
message is the first message of a thread.  The replies to the thread
[some have 10 or more] are not included in the count.)

If there is someplace I can send those messages to create a decent
searchable archive, let me know and I'll see what I can do.  Does the
wiki have a feature like that?

If you're looking for a suggestion for a decent mailing list archiver, may I suggest lurker: http://lurker.sourceforge.net/. It will accept mail archives in a variety of formats, including mailman archives and mbox files (commonly used my many *nix mailstores and readers.) It has, as searching functionality goes, pretty decent search. Also, it can accept multiple list dumps, out of order, etc., so the quality of the list archive can only go up over time.
